It is my pleasure and honor to be your neighborhood eye care professional. When I created Optica, my goal was to create a family friendly practice where patients always come first. I spent my youth growing up near Washington D.C. As a student, I served many years as a science and math tutor for disadvantaged kids at Upward Bound. I earned my B.S. in Microbiology at the University of Maryland. After graduation, I spent several years doing cancer research at Georgetown University. I received my Doctorate of Optometry at UC Berkeley.  My clinical experience includes rotations at the Navajo Indian Hospital in Shiprock, NM, the American Lake VA hospital in Tacoma, WA and a LASIK surgery center in Bellevue, WA. I pride myself at listening to my patient's needs and finding the best solutions.    I love my career and I am completely dedicated to doing what is best for those under my care. My hobbies include reading nonfiction, listening to music, biking, golfing, and hiking. I live with my wife and dog in Issaquah.  ​
